Celebrating Chinese New year

Published on: January 24, 2017

This week ( Mon 23rd-27th Jan) we have lots of fun packed activities, linking with our current celebration of Chinese new year.

On Thursday, we are exploring Chinese food for our lunch, Susie has created a delicious  new meal with consists of a vegetable stir fry, with home made Tangyan and prawn crackers

Tangyuan are a traditional Chinese sweet usually served at festivals or for Chinese new year. They are little glutinous rice balls that may be filled with sweet or savoury fillings. The little dumplings nestled together in the bowl represent togetherness.
